I refuse to stoop to my sisters level. If she brings it up again I will say that if I went back because I was guilted in, I would not be doing it for the right reasons. My mom used to use those tactics on me but the last 10 years of her life she accepted me for who I was unconditionally. I do not believe it to be the truth as I do not believe in man made relgion period. It is all to do with control.

Don't any of these cult people undestand when something is emotional black mail? If I was to go back to the relgion just to make my mom happy then I would be doing it for the wrong reasons. I just wished they would leave well enough alone but they never stop the cheep black mail tactics. Any thoughts here? Has anyone else here had similar experiances?

A Nice Story.

One of the most terrible things that WT did to me growing up was not allowing me to fit in with the other children. It is very important that we are accepted by our peers but in every aspect of my life growing up I was made to feel different, to not fit in. The religion puts my self esteme down so low it took years to build it up after I left the cult. I only feel sorry for these youngs ones that have to put up with these man made beliefs.

I read once when my hypocritical brother in law was the watchtower servant and then after that he would not use me. I do not know to this day but I think it was because I was not a big brown noser like the other teens that were my age in the cong. I had good news the other day when I found out my dear brother in law now has leukemia. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

opens up the whole debate as to who is the one that determines what appropriate religious head dress is.

Looking back to what happened since sept 2012... i must say its brilliant !
by insidetheKH inwho thought in the early months of 2012 that such a rebranding would take place in only a matter of 24 months?.
they managed to go from an antique looking and boring website (watchtower.org) with hardly any attractive content to go to a fresh looking new website with stuff for everyone, families, children, teenagers.. movies, and short videos about almost everything and new ones added every month.
cartoons, animation video's , interviews, picture activities all kind of projects, many audio files like dramatic bible readings, dramas and music, online research tools, new brochures for kids (off and online) etc.

The WT still can't get away from their history of failed predictions. I know for a fact what was said on the buildup to 1975. The WT can lie all they want but this is a fact as I lived through it. So big deal a multi billio dollar corporation, book publishing company, not too many average working, tax paying individuals can compete with this money.

I do not know when it was but it seems to what I recall Russell did not admit or revise his prediction till late in the year 1914. As the story goes one morning late in 1914 at the breakfast table he made the announcement to the rest of the Bethelittes of his error. I don't think the JW's or the WT deny this. Again though if they are spirit directed, how could Russell have made such a false prophecy? I could be wrong on this one and will be open for correction by anyone else on here.

I remember as a kid and the WT explainatiion as to why they would not put the relgion on TV was they did not want anything to do with "Babylon The Grape". Things sure change when they have to find other means to recruit new members.
